UNH Coop Extension

Jared Reynolds is the UNH Coop Extension’s Community & Economic Development Field Specialist for Merrimack County. He works with communities to build their capacity to implement projects and initiatives to improve their communities, build resilience, and support their local economy.

Jared also offers technical assistance and training to communities as they engage in economic planning and project implementation. Jared brings a diverse set of experiences to Extension as an educator, economic development practitioner, and former community health worker. He brings these experiences to his work with towns to help them understand the community and economic development challenges they face, while developing local leadership and capacity to move communities and projects forward.

Before joining Extension, Jared worked in community health in rural Alaska, served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco, and most recently worked in economic development in the Midwest. Jared helped communities to grow and improve their economies, develop commercial and residential properties, address demographic challenges, and promote local business growth. Jared holds graduate degrees from the University of Chicago in Public Policy and Social Service Administration, with concentrations in Public Finance and Economic Analysis.
