Administrative and Front Desk Manager
When you visit Makers Mill, you may be lucky enough to be greeted by Aynne’s big smile and friendly demeanor. As the Administrative and Front Desk Manager, Aynne can help you with all your questions regarding scheduling a visit or class, becoming a member, or reserving a flex-space. Aynne’s involvement with Makers Mill began through a long-standing admiration for GALA and its positive mission. Now that her youngest child is in college, she has time to develop new skills in the metalsmithing studio, fiber arts, and leatherworks at Makers Mill. She values the sense of community and the opportunity to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds. The relationships formed at Makers Mill have deepened her connection and belonging to Wolfeboro.
In addition to spending time at Makers Mill, Aynne is a local small business owner and community volunteer, who grew up in South Africa. Along with her husband, she owns and operates Clearwater Lodges, a seasonal cottage colony in New Hampshire. In 2010, they founded the Abenaki Outing Club, a non-profit organization that offers competitive youth winter sports focusing on accessibility for the local community. Her active involvement includes serving as a board member, race administrator, and certified timing official for ski races.
Beyond her professional and volunteer work, she enjoys a wide range of hobbies. She loves to cook, garden, keep bees, raise chickens, practice yoga, cycle, and engage in both water and snow sports. Additionally, she has a deep interest in fiber arts, working with wool, as well as calligraphy, reading, and flower arranging. Aynne savors the beauty of the fall season colors, warm daytime temperatures coupled with cool evenings for sleeping, and the tranquility of slowing down after a busy summer.
