If you love making jewelry and want to explore new techniques with a celebrated instructor, don’t miss the opportunity to learn from nationally recognized metalsmith Paulette Werger at Makers Mill this spring.
On Saturday, May 17, from 10 AM to 4 PM, Paulette will lead a one-day workshop titled In the Swing: Kinetic Earrings—a fun, hands-on class focused on designing earrings that move with elegance and personality.
What Are Kinetic Earrings?
“Kinetic” simply means motion—and in this case, it’s about creating earrings that swing, drape, pivot, and wiggle in ways that make them dynamic and expressive. These aren’t just accessories—they’re mini works of moving art.
Learn From a Master
Paulette Werger is a widely respected artist and educator based in Lebanon, NH. Her work is shown across the U.S. and internationally, and she brings decades of teaching experience from universities, craft schools, and her own studio, Metalpeople East.
Paulette’s teaching style is both encouraging and technique-rich. In this class, she’ll demonstrate how to work with Argentium silver—a modern, tarnish-resistant alloy that’s easier to fuse and shape than traditional sterling silver. You’ll practice forging, fusing, texturing, and embellishing techniques to design and create several pairs of your own kinetic-style earrings.
Whether you’re forming delicate links or bold hoops, you’ll leave the day with finished pieces and the skills to keep creating.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is best suited for folks with previous torch experience, as you’ll be working with heat to shape and fuse metal. If you’ve taken metalsmithing classes before or have experience in jewelry fabrication, this is a great next step.
