There are so many ways to give, and they all make a difference.
As you review the options below, please consider that funding out annual fund is our top priority, for without meeting our annual financial obligations, the other scholarships, classes, or programs and partnerships would simply not exist. Consider contributing to our annual fund first, or ask us where we stand with annual fund goals, before choosing one of these additional ways of giving.
If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 603-569-1500 or drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org

Other Ways to Give
Giving a gift of stock or mutual fund is an easy way to support us. Just as with cash gifts, you will receive a federal income tax donation for the full market value of any securities you donate, as long as you have owned them for at least one year. You may also avoid the capital gains taxes you would owe if you sold these securities. Please contact us prior to making a transfer so we can match the funds received to you, the donor.
Donor Advised Fund Gifts
There are several benefits to making a gift to Makers Mill through donor advised funds (DAF’s). Here are some of the top 10 reasons people use DAFs to manage their charitable giving. Through a Donor Advised Fund, individuals can make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time. If are you interested in establishing a DAF, consider reaching out to the NH Charitable Foundation to begin the process.
Endowment; Join our Founder’s Guild
To commemorate the opening of Makers Mill, an endowment fund has been established at the NH Charitable Foundation under the name of “Makers Mill Sustainability Fund”. Every year we will receive a check for 4-5% of the total amount in this fund. Our goal is to build this to a 5 million dollar fund, so that the drawdown will cover our basica annual operating expenses of $250,000. This would allow our other fundraising efforts to go directly toward scholarships and program development. A generous donor has seeded this endowment with $110,000. By contributing to this fund and helping us reach our 5 million dollar goal, you become a member of our Founder’s Guild and will be memorialized on a plaque at Makers Mill. Contribute to this fund by going to NH Charitable Foundation’s fund page here.
Tribute & Memorial Gifts
If you want to honor a friend or a loved one, consider making a gift to Makers Mill in their honor. If you provide their contact information to us, we’ll gladly inform them that a gift has been made. “In Honor Of” and “In Memory Of” gifts can also be made online via our online giving form. If planning a funeral and considering us as a beneficiary for giving, here is suggested wording for use in an obituary:
“In lieu of flowers, please make a gift in (name here)’s honor to Makers Mill either online at www.makersmill.org/donate, or by mailing a check to: Makers Mill, PO Box 2267, Wolfeboro, NH 03894”
Planned Giving & Bequests

Business Tax Credits
Occasionally we have business tax credits to sell through a program of the NH Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA). The program allows businesses to direct their taxes to rigorously vetted nonprofit organizations for innovative projects that show a high degree of community support, build partnerships and leverage other funds. This is a win/win way for businesses to stretch the impact of the contributions by re-directing money that would otherwise go directly to the state’s general fund, to Makers Mill. If you are interested in this program, email us at email@example.com and we will be sure to reach out when tax credits become available.
We hope this information is useful to you. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us anytime for a no pressure, no obligation discussion. You can reach us at 603-569-1500 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On behalf of the entire Makers Mill community, thank you for all that you do to support this work and achieve our mission.
