Instructor: Robert "Doc" Dougherty
Doc is a multitradesman and craftsman here at Makers Mill. As both a professional, and a homesteader, he is an avid conservationist and outdoor enthusiast. He originally got the nickname “Doc” while hiking because he always carries a fully stocked first aid kit and is known to patch folks up along the way. His customers know him as “Doc” because he has a knack for fixing things.
Doc has worked closely with 4-H clubs, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and homeschooling groups throughout New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts on personal skills. He promotes a mix of hands-on learning with traditional lecture-style learning that can be adapted to each individual's learning style in class. He strives to help each student reach the goal of the class to instill a sense of accomplishment.
