Weave your own Forager’s Backpack Basket in this fun and practical class! The Forager’s Basket can be used to carry items when you're on hike, out foraging in the woods, or in your backyard garden. The finished basket will be about 18" tall, and has a wooden base and skids for sturdiness and to hold the straps in place. It has a handle for an easy pick up when needed.
Students should bring their own hand towel and a brown bag lunch or snack.

Instructor: Deb Halstead
Deb has been crafting and creating for as long as she can remember. More than 30 years ago, she took her first basket-making class and quickly fell in love with both the creative process and the finished pieces. Before long, she began selling her baskets in a local shop and teaching classes to share her passion with others.
In addition to her fiber and basket arts, Deb has embraced a homesteading lifestyle for many years, working toward greater self-sufficiency by raising chickens and tending gardens filled with vegetables, herbs, and flowers. She enjoys sharing her knowledge, creativity, and love of handmade crafts with her students.
