Youth Vacation Arts & Crafts: Decorative Sign

7/31/2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM ET

FOR THE FULL LIST OF YOUTH VACATION ARTS & CRAFTS CLASSES IN JULY CLICK HERE.

Looking for something fun, creative, and educational to offer your child during the upcoming school vacation?  Makers Mill is offering maker workshops for youth aged 7-13, Monday - Friday, in July.  Come to as many classes as you’d like; just be sure to pre-register as they are limited to 6 students. Materials are included for each class.

There will be time in each class for students to take a break, so they should bring their own lunch/snack and drink in a sealable container.

Each youth will require their responsible adult to sign our Youth Waiver at the beginning of their first class unless we already have their waiver on file.  This is a one-time requirement.

Design and create your own personalized wooden sign in this fun, hands-on class! Young makers will learn how to use chalk paint, stencils, and simple tools to transform a wooden board into a custom sign for their room or home.

Participants can choose words, phrases, or designs that reflect their personality and style, adding their own creative touches along the way. Perfect for ages 7–13, this class encourages creativity, self-expression, and the joy of making something truly their own.
