FOR THE FULL LIST OF YOUTH VACATION ARTS & CRAFTS CLASSES IN JULY CLICK HERE.
Looking for something fun, creative, and educational to offer your child during the upcoming school vacation? Makers Mill is offering maker workshops for youth aged 7-13, Monday - Friday, in July. Come to as many classes as you’d like; just be sure to pre-register as they are limited to 6 students. Materials are included for each class.
There will be time in each class for students to take a break, so they should bring their own lunch/snack and drink in a sealable container.
Each youth will require their responsible adult to sign our Youth Waiver at the beginning of their first class unless we already have their waiver on file. This is a one-time requirement.
Make your own unique leather bowl while learning some cool leatherworking techniques! In this hands-on class, young makers will use wet molding to shape leather into a small bowl, then personalize it with tooling, stamping, and texturing designs.
Experiment with patterns, symbols, and textures to create a bowl that is truly one of a kind. Along the way, you'll learn how leather can be shaped and decorated using traditional techniques. This class combines creativity, craftsmanship, and fun while introducing participants to the art of leatherworking.
Location: Upstairs Arts Space.
