Have you wanted to learn needle felting but been daunted by complex steps? Then, this is a great introductory class for you, (but appropriate for any level felter)! The class allows those new to needle felting to explore felting techniques where you will learn the fundamentals of how to manipulate the wool roving fibers into a pumpkin straight from the patch– with or without added facial features for personality. The supply pack (provided at the first class) includes a felting pad, needles, and all the fiber you will need for the class to make assorted pumpkins.
Please read our Class Attendee Policy prior to class.
Location: Upstairs Fiber Arts space accessible via stairs or elevator.
Class Size: minimum 3 and maximum 8 Age Group: 18+

Instructor: Christine Greenwood
Raised in Durham, New Hampshire, I attended Skidmore College where I earned a BS in studio art. I began my art teaching career in York, Maine before marrying and moving to suburban Philadelphia. I just retired from the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA, after 37years where I taught a variety of 2D and 3D courses. I earned certified felting instructor (SCI) status through Sarafina Fiber Arts in 2022. When summer arrives, the family packs up and heads back to Wolfeboro where we stay on Rust Pond. Felting has become a passion for me, since starting in December of 2020 when I made a mushroom from an online tutorial. I have been "hooked" ever since. Other passions include cooking/baking (yep, I do both), reading, and other fiber arts.
