Join us as we knit these cozy year-round socks. We will learn the toe-up Turkish cast-on, how to knit a shadow wrap heel, and how to knit socks using the magic loop method. These socks are knit holding two strands of DK weight yarn on a 32" size 4 circular needle.

Supplies needed: Students should bring two skeins of DK yarn 360 yards to be held together, 32" size 4 circular
needles, and a stitch maker.

This is an advanced beginner class - also suitable for students who have taken any of Deb's other knitting classes. You should be familiar with knit & purl stitches, how to increase and decrease stitches, casting on and binding off.

Please read our Class Attendee Policy, which includes our cancellation policy, prior to registering.

Instructor:  Deb Halstead

Creating and crafting were passed down to Deb from her mother and grandmother.  Her mom taught her to sew, and her grandmother introduced her to the arts of crochet and knitting before she became a teen.

As a young adult, a basket-making class revealed Deb’s true passion. This sparked 30 years of refining and teaching this primitive skill, and now her baskets have become sought after in local shops.

Deb loves fostering others to experience the joy of producing a fine finished basket by the end of every class. She also prides herself on living sustainably: embracing homesteading by raising chickens and tending her many gardens of herbs, vegetables, and flowers. She happily shares her skills, by teaching herbal remedies, balms,  tinctures, and soaps. Deb is a superb teacher, as demonstrated by her many students returning to learn more.
