This is a free event open to all who are interested in participating in the fifth annual Upcycled Fashion Show on April 26, 2026.
This workshop provides the time, the space, and the tools to finish your upcycled project - we are just a few weeks from the Upcycle Fashion Show! Instructors will help with final fit or construction challenges. Just bring your project - we are here to help.
Whether a garment needs “an extra little something”, or a stain or moth hole needs to be concealed, we’ll show you embellishment techniques to solve every problem.
At this workshop, stations will be set up for participants to try skills including:
Setting Eyelets for an adjustable corset-type closure
Setting snaps as a closure
Fun applique techniques to personalize a project
Stenciling on garments with fabric paints
Using stamps to add pattern and design or conceal a flaw
How to apply trim or a patch to save a garment
Additional workshops: For those curious about creating something to enter in the Upcycled Fashion Show, five FREE workshops are being offered to support them with tips and the skills to make their project successfully. Participants can choose one or more workshops that are all held on a Saturday between 9am and noon at Makers Mill.
