Creator Camp DO NOT USE

4/11/2024 from 5:49 PM to 5:49 PM ET

Creator Camp is an adaptive arts program for youth aged 13-23 to engage with the fine arts. Under the mentorship of a skilled artist and a professional special needs educator, students are encouraged to explore art using a variety of art materials.

Each Creator Camp takes place on Mondays between 2:45 - 4:00 PM, starting on Monday, May 6th.

Enrollment maximum is 10 students per camp and they may participate in as many as they like.

The weekly camp fee is $25 and is eligible for subsidy under the Class Wallet program.

Students are invited to keep their creations in a portfolio for personal and/or professional use. If so desired, they may choose to include their artwork in the friends and family gallery night held after the last class in each camp.  They may also submit works to the Makers Mill Arts Festival for auction and receive all the monies for their art.

Before joining Creator Camp, an orientation for students and families is held to ensure that Makers Mill can accommodate each participant’s health and safety needs. This can be done with the instructor and coordinator virtually, or in person if you feel that your camper would benefit from seeing the space prior to camp begins. An Intake Form is completed for each student at these information sessions and time for family Q/A to ensure comfort when beginning Creator Camp. It is required to attend either a virtual or in person information session before enrollment is approved.
