Events

This monthly craft group will enjoy the social aspect of crafting together and building a supportive community while making greeting cards and decorative paper crafts.  In each of the hands-on workshops, participants will have the chance to try new techniques and tools while making cards, seasonal decor, and gifts.  Each design will offer ways for the participants to personalize the motif or message to their own needs.  We will offer popular year-round themes as well as seasonal themes.  Each meeting will introduce a new skill or tool and review a familiar technique.  Build your paper crafting skills and leave with beautiful handcrafted cards and gifts.

In this particular class we’ll be making two cards with a Spring and Easter theme and colors, including one that is an interactive shutter card.

Location: Makers Mill Arts Flex Space, second floor accessible via stairs and elevator

Class Size: 3 minimum and 6 maximum      Age Group:  18+

Registration Fee:  $30 for non-members and $24 for members
Non-members will be sent a Liability Waiver to sign prior to class

Instructor:  Diane Cooney
 Diane is an avid hobbyist who has dabbled in a variety of crafts. She has been paper crafting for about 15 years usually gathering with friends and making different types of cards using several techniques. She enjoys other interests such as sewing, crocheting, knitting, and stained-glass, and is exploring macramé again. As a true believer in lifelong learning and sharing she continues to enjoy new experiences in the crafts.
